Well that's about it. There will be one more post after this. A photo will round things off on 19 May to coincide with the 31st anniversary of our first appearance - as a 5-a-side team in the Striker Cup at the Link Centre.
So time for me to bow out and say thank you.
To the people who've contributed to this blog, played, sponsored, supported, cleaned the kit, put up with us clearing off for a few hours on Sundays, ran the league, refereed and anyone I missed, thank you.
When I started this it was for several reasons (in no particular order):
- To get everything I've got on paper somewhere else before I lose it
- To settle any pub arguments about what might have happened
- Because it was a great time and deserved it
- In case any future historian wants to know about a crazy thing called Sunday League football and the people who played it
- To educate and amuse people who were involved
- To give myself a project when my head wasn't in the right place
- For when the human race has to go and live on Mars and takes all the world's knowledge with it on a microchip - the Kylies will live on!
I think I ticked those boxes. So finally, thanks for reading.
We had fun, didn't we.
