Honours even in eight-goal thriller
28 September 1997, Division Five at Mannington
KMLC FC 4 The White House 4
For some reason we didn't enter the cups this season. It was either an administrative error or the realisation that it was a waste of money because we's only get knocked out. Whatever. It meant that we had to wait three weeks after the opening day defeat for the next match.
There were another two debutants this week, Rees and Crumbie, both colleagues of Garratt who was absent after the last game's spoons-winning performance. Swatty dropped back to midfield and won MVP. Merry and Watling led the line and both got on the scoresheet.
