Four goals only good enough for Lamb point

25 January 1998, Division 5 at Marlborough

The Lamb 4 KMLC FC 4

The Lamb's pitch was never one we got to grips with. The changing rooms were a bit of farce too if I remember. A couple of weedy showers and that was that.

To the game then - after that run of three games without a goal the team were firing again and took their tally to 11 in four games. Trouble is, the defence still wasn't as tight as could be and conceded the same number - Matthew taking Spoons may say something.

Merry, Rees, Cox and Gould (from the spot) got the goals, I also have a recollection of Coxy turning one in from an offside position when it may have bounced into the net unaided. Garratt may also have come on for 10 minutes and not got a touch. There was a rare appearance of Ben too, coming off the bench for one of the MVPs.
