Two wins in a row!
18 October 1998, Division 5 (at Mannington?)
KMLC FC 3 Swindon Police 1
There was only one change from last week's win in the Chairman's Trophy and it paid dividends with a league win after a 16-game run without one.
That only change was up front with Cox replacing Rees and winning Spoons into the bargain. It's what Richie would have wanted!
Hales must have orchestrated the midfield as he was MVP and there were goals for Payne S., Watling and Phil 'Dollar' Ausden making his first appearance from the bench. He'd become more of a feature in the team later in the season.
Powell
Adams, Goldsworthy, Gould, Cook
G.Payne, Hales, S.Payne, Smedley
Watling, Cox
Subs: Merry for Goldsworthy, Ausden for Cox
Goals: S.Payne (30), Ausden (55), Watling (85)
MVP: Hales
Spoons: Cox
