Hewers continue double trouble

13 April 1997, Division Six at Mannington

KMLC FC 1 Hewers Bakery 4

A third straight defeat with the season petering out for the Kylies. Like the previous two defeats to the Patriots and Cursor it completed a home and away double for the winning side.

Hewers won 4-0 back in September and only a Hobbs goal, his fifth of the season, stopped the repeat.

Looks like Big Al picked up a knock as Matt replaced him during the game. Or replaced someone who replaced him in goal. Neil perhaps as he won Spoons. Or Watty as he played in goal in the next match. It's hard to know. It was 20 years ago.

Lunt
Carpenter, Woolford, Summers, Gunning
Payne, Merry, Gould, Hobbs
Watling, Cox
Subs: Smedley for Cox, M.Warr for Lunt

Goal: Hobbs

MVP: Watling
Spoons: Summers

Next match - 20 April v Nationwide
