Lamb win ends relegation fears
2 May 1999, Division 5 at Mannington (most likely)
KMLC FC 4 The Lamb Marlborough 2
Maybe we just needed a couple of weeks off! After a two week break the Kylies returned to play their last game of the season and picked up their second win of 1999.
It might have been an important one too. Defeat would have meant the side finishing in the bottom three. Would that have resulted in relegation. More of that in a future post...
Dollar got his first brace for the club, one from the spot, but also got Spoons so he must have done something pretty awful. Rees and Watling got the other goals while there were three MVPs. Gary Payne, Rees and Humphries (four in the last five games for the keeper) spreading the award love.
Humphries
Powel, Winters, Smedley, Cook
G.Payne, Hobbs, Rees, Hales
Watling, Ausden
Subs: S.Payne for Powell, Cox
Goals: Ausden 2 (1p), Watling, Rees
MVP: Humphries, G.Payne, Rees
Spoons: Ausden
Next match - Is in September - come back raring to go!
