Goals at last but losing run goes on
28 December 1997, Division 5 at Mannington
KMLC FC 3 Sports Division 6
The Kylies made it four defeats in a row when downed by Sports Division. The same opponents had opened the season over the Kylies with a 5-1 win and went one better here.
The only bright spot was the fact that the team broke their three game scoreless streak Crumbie and Merry were on target but there was also a first goal for Garratt - anticipating Big Al's long clearance, winning a 50/50 with the Sports Division keeper and slamming home.
Powelly made his debut in midfield but would soon be the club's next keeper. Rees won Spoons despite not being in the squad (again.)
