Unbeaten run hits buffers at Ghost Train
31 January 1999, Division Five at Purton (I think)
Ghost Train 3 KMLC FC 1
Maybe it was the five week break since the last game or maybe it was just the fact we were playing a decent team without a couple of first-choice players but the short unbeaten run came to an end.
The biggest contribution came from the defence this week, Gunning with the goal, Cook with the MVP. A very rare substitute appearance from Sharpy in this one too.
There's no record of Spoons so it's either lost or nobody deserved it. Let's say the latter!
Humphries
Winters, Adams, Cook, Gunning
Hobbs, G.Payne, S.Payne, Rees
Watling, Cox
Subs: Sharp for Winters, James for Cox, Goldsworthy
Goal: Gunning (20)
MVP: Cook
Next match - 14 February v North Swindon WMC
