27 February 2000, Division 5
Motorola ECID 3 KMLC FC 2
A quirk of the fixture list meant that this was our first meeting with Motorola this season as it was drifting into its last knockings.
Goals from Ausden (a third in five games) and Cox off the bench (his first since last October) weren't enough to grab a point. Gouldy will probably say it was because he didn't start but the absence of the in-form Watty is probably a big factor too.

Another clean sheet in Woodshaw double
13 February 2000, Division 5
Spartak Woodshaw 0 KMLC FC 4
They're like buses! You go three years without a clean sheet then two come along at once.
A comfortable win over the Lamb last week was followed up by a bigger one against Woodshaw. That meant we completed the double against them this season following a 6-3 win in October.
It was an excellent result considering that top scorers Watling and Ausden were missing. We benefited from an own goal in this one and Merry, Rees and Payne also helped themselves to a goal apiece.

Kylies shut out Lamb
6 February 2000, Division 5
KMLC FC 3 The Lamb Marlborough 0
Last week was the first time the Kylies failed to score in the league this season, this week was the first time we kept a clean sheet for three years! (2 February 1997 v Curriers Arms fact fans.)
We couldn't beat them at their place but we generally had the measure of The Lamb at ours. Not sure if Watty picked up a knock in this one but he was subbed (that didn't happen often) and wasn't back until the last game of the season.
Smedley and Gould got their only goals of the season and Dollar added one more to his total.
