Kylies hit Workbase for six

24 November 1996, Division Six at Penhill Sevenfields

After scoring 13 goals in the last four matches the team really found their scoring boots through the winter. It started with this game against Workbase when the team really clicked.

There were braces for Gould and Merry (in an MVP performance) from midfield while forwards Watling and Payne (who also bagged Spoons) were also on target.

Three goals not enough to beat Patriots

3 November 1996, Division Six at Chiseldon

Patriots Arms 4 KMLC FC 3

Chiseldon had been the scene of an infamous Kylie friendly ('watch the bounce!') which ended in heavy defeat to the Elm Tree. Two years on the opponents were different, the margin closer but the result was the same.

Hobbs and Cox both opened their KMLC account and Gould got the other and also picked up MVP. Hobbit must have done something interesting to get Spoons on the day of his first goal.

Dave Hector made his last Kylie appearance from the bench. He felt he was worthy of a starting place, the management weren't as convinced.
