Gould on the spot as Kylies romp to victory

15 January 1995, Division 8 at Shrewsbury Road

The Harrow 2 KMLC FC 7 (HT 1-4)

After two high-scoring defeats KMLC got back to winning ways in some style. Often slow starters, this time the Kylies were 4-1 up at the break and carried that form on into the second period to run out comfortable winners.

Stu led the scoring with two goals from the penalty spot but Kevin's first-half strike was to prove his third and final goal for the club.

Akers rivalry starts with defeat

8 January 1995, Division 8 at Mannington
KMLC FC 3 Akers Garage 6 (HT 1-4)

In the early years of the Kylies there was one team that stood out as the main rivals - Akers Garage. This first game against those opponents ended in heavy defeat.

It's possible that this game was the night after the Highworth 10 which might explain the slow start and poor first half performance. The second half was drawn which may indicate a certain level of sobering up as the match went on.
